Master Huntsman
(Pearce-G 2012)
- 6" Red with great ruffles and small triangular green throat. These large flat flowers are cameleon-like in their ability to change hue dependent upon the morning temperature. The colder it is, the redder it becomes.
- The very robust dormant blue-green foliage is in lovely balance with the tall strong well-branched scapes. Master Huntsman is a reliable northern rebloomer with excellent fertility both ways. Offspring show the capability of a great deal of color variation and readily carry forward the large flat ruffled form, dormancy, and reblooming habits. Highly used and valued as a quality northern breeding parent in my hybridizing program. Not recommended for zones above 5 as the color fades under hot conditions. Ideal for cold climates.
- 30" scape with 5 branches and 24 buds, Mid w/Rebloom, Dormant, Tet (Ferengi Gold X Crimson Shadows)
- Seedling #04-43-01
- $15 DF
